Do you want to know some of the best areas in Barcelona to study without distractions? Here are some that might interest you in the cosmopolitan city that has so much life, in these places you can find several quiet areas to study, read or work with wifi and quality service so that you can concentrate to the maximum and without anyone getting in your way.
At the Xior Collblanc residence hall, we have a study room where you will be able to study, work, etc. But if you are one of those people who like to have breakfast outside or study in different places we are going to help you with some of the best cafeterias for studying.
From the Xior Collblanc residence hall, these are our four recommendations so that you can enjoy a different day of study or work:
Café Cosmo
This cafe is a quiet place where you can feel as if you were in the residence hall, apart from being a nice café, it is also a gallery for new artists. They also organise art exhibitions, events, cultural activities and concerts. You can enjoy a full and healthy breakfast, as well as salads, sandwiches, natural juices and, above all, a good coffee.
It is located on Enric Granados street, near the University of Barcelona. And you can find it open from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 10 pm.
Café Cometa
This cafe is located in the hipster neighbourhood of Sant Antoni. It’s a small, minimalist, colourful, cosy and intimate place, perfect for those winter evenings. While you study or work you can have a coffee, or their natural fruit juices, sandwiches, salads and homemade cakes.
It is on Carrer del Parlament and is open from Tuesday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 8 pm.
Nappuccino Corner
This café has some spectacular coffees, and has a very different feature that will leave you surprised: a place where you can study, work, relax and even have separate rest areas in the form of cubicles where you can take a nap to recharge your batteries and get back to studying – incredible, right? After all, having a good “siesta” has many benefits: it increases your creativity and memory, reduces stress and improves your perception, trust me when in Spain you must try the siesta.
Closed on Mondays, open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11:30 am to 11:30 pm, this place is inside the Lobster Roll restaurant on Carrer de Muntaner.
Federal Cafe
This is an ideal place to study and work, as it has plenty of space and is well lit, thanks to the natural light, and even has a rooftop terrace where you can sunbathe. There are tables with plugs for electronic devices, and you can enjoy their traditional brunch, and breakfast with a vegan option. Dogs are allowed in the cafe, so you can enjoy the company of dogs.
Barcelona has three Federal cafés: Federal Café Gótic, Federal Café Poblenou and another Federal café located on Carrer del Parlament (the one closest to the Xior Collblanc residence). Open every day from 9 am to 4 pm.
Each of these cafes has its own special charm, which one will be your favourite?
With winter comes colder, darker and shorter days,…
